441st International City of Peace

Community Programs Beneficial to All

The Round Town Rotary Club 26906, District 3056, has established Jaipur, Rajasthan, India as the 441st International Cities of Peace (ICP)

“Our aim is to address the underlying causes of violence and instability, working towards a more equitable and inclusive society,” writes Vivek Goyal, Amit Mittal and Deepti Goyal. As Primary Liaison between Jaipur and International Cities of Peace, Vivek is an entrepreneur and serves on many Boards, including the India Chapter of the Rotary Action Group for Peace. The City has a population of over three million and many Rotary Clubs. Vivek has communicated with leaders of Rotary District 3056 with the intention to seed many Cities of Peace in Jaipur and beyond. Rotary International’s fourth question in the Four-Way Test: “Will it be beneficial to all concerned?” Yes, an example is the group’s Peace Bench program. ICP helps Rotary Clubs tell their community-wide peacebuilding story. Amazing work.
